| The Historical Photo Archive contains
annotated photographs that catalogue West Vancouver's growth and
development from its humble beginnings to the bustling and prosperous
community it is today. The main focus is between the turn of the century
and 1950, a period during which such pioneers as John Lawson, Albert
Whyte, and the Guinness Family were able to lay the foundations for the
community of West Vancouver to emerge.. There are over 100 photographs in
this online catalogue which will be updated periodically. The full
collection of the West Vancouver Memorial Library's historical
photographs, numbering around 5000, are available to look at in the
Library's Reference Department. |
