Friday Night Concert Series
Entering its eigth year, the Library's Friday Night Concert Series features a wide spectrum of live music and an interesting mix of performers.
With six concerts each season, we offer something for every musical taste - from classical piano to jazz quartet, from opera to zydeco.
Come early for best seating. Concerts are free, open to all, with refreshments compliments of the Friends of the Library. Doors open at 7 pm. Concerts start at 7:30 and end at approximately 8:45 pm.
Morning Music Talks
Musician, conductor and composer Nicolas Krusek is back with a new series of music talks entitled "The German operas of Mozart, Beethoven and Weber."
Wednesdays, November 3, 10, 17, and December 1, 8, 10:30 - 12:30 pm, Welsh Hall. No registration required, just drop in and enjoy!
Kodaly Orff Music for Children
An 8 week sampler for preschoolers, offered three times each year. Children experience the joy of making music through song, games, dance and instruments. A great introduction to the Kodaly Orff method, which also develops skills children will carry with them to further music lessons. Classes are free but space is limited. Contact the Youth Department at 604 925-7408.
