If you feel as we do, and would like to become a 'Friend', the door is open, and the welcome mat is out.

We conduct a semi-annual sale of books, CDs, etc. The resulting proceeds enable us to help the Library acquire its special needs. (By the way, we also keep the Book Cart in the foyer well-stocked with great bargains!)

We sponsor, organize and host a Remembrance Day reception each November 11th.

We provide hospitality for the Library's official and social events like the monthly Artist receptions, Author events, and Concert Series. We sponsor the annual North Shore Writers' Festival, the Summer Reading Program, and we help out when the Library Foundation holds its annual croquet benefit.

We participate in the Library's home book delivery services.

We donate the bouquets that add a welcoming touch to the circulation desk.

What are some of our recent contributions to the Library?
- Victor Classic Readers for taped books - $1507
- Puppet stage for children's area - $3,500
- Microfilm Carriage for Genealogy Research - $7,000
- Laser Printer for Tech Services - $3510

All told, we have provided contributions to the Library of over $200,000 since 1993.

Membership
$10 / year for those over 18; $5 a year for those 18 and under. And for fees so small the benefits are huge:
- Attend the “Friends Only” Booksale Preview
- Get 10 free book reserves a year
- Receive the Friends of the Library Newsletter listing Library events
- Get to meet other Friends at the noon hour meetings

Pick up a membership form at the Registration Desk or Administration Office or print out our application form and drop it off at the library.
